  • OVERVIEW

    10 Days China Discovery with Hong Kong is the best way to explore China’s ancient history and culture and experience the modern China. Travel to the capital city of Beijing, the ancient capital of Xian, the city never sleeps, Hong Kong and China’s modern and largest city, Shanghai.  Visit four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including one of the grandest archeological excavations, the Terra Cotta Warriors, and an opportunity to explore the Forbidden City and climb the monumental Great Wall of China.

  • ITINERARY

    Day 1 – Fly to Beijing

    Check-in at airport. Fly to Beijing. Cross the international dateline.

    Day 2 – Arr. Beijing

    Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Meet your experienced local guide, and transfer to hotel for check in.

    Day 3 – Beijing

    Beijing (B,L,D). Morning, visit Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will see many interesting local activities at the park. Before lunch, attend a pearl workshop learning how to purchase good quality freshwater pearls from the largest producer. Continue visit the largest square in the world – Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, where the last emperor resided. Lunch at a local restaurant. Tonight enjoy a famous Peking Duck dinner.

    Day 4 – Beijing

    Beijing (B,L). Full day visit the Great Wall, the 4,000-mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible from the moon.  Learn about different category of Jade from the Jade Carving workshop.  Jade is the Imperial Jewelry for the Chinese.  Explore the Old Beijing, Hutong by the rickshaw ride through the ancient alleys. Visit a local family to experience their daily life.  Evening, enjoy dinner at your own leisure.

    Day 5 – Fly to Xi’an

    Beijing to Xi’an (B,L,D). Fly to Xian, an ancient capital of China with over 3,000 years of history and eastern departure point of the Silk Road.  Xi’an has long been an important crossroads for people from throughout China, Central Asia, and the Middle East, and thus a hub of diverse ethnic identities and religious beliefs.  Visit the Eighth Wonder of the World, Terra Cotta Warriors Museum to see the excavation site with more than 8,000 life-size army created during the Qin Dynasty.  See the City Wall, the most well-preserved ancient military structure in the world.  Finish the day with a tasty dinner.

    Day 6 – Fly to Hong Kong

    Hong Kong (B). Fly to Hong Kong, the city never sleeps.  Enjoy free time to explore Hong Kong or take an optional seafood dinner to taste the delicious fresh seafood.

    Day 7 – Hong Kong

    Hong Kong (B). Half day Hong Kong Island tour, start with Hollywood Road, one of the first roads built in Hong Kong.  You will hear some of the interesting stories of Hong Kong from your local guide while visiting the biggest Dryfood Street in the world.   You will see some fantastic dry seafood and Chinese herbs and learn about the health culture.  Ride the tram to the top of the Victoria Peak to get a panoramic view of the Hong Kong.  Free at leisure for the rest of the day.  Don’t miss the largest lighting and music show in the world, A Symphony of Lights; the show perfectly shows the vibrancy and glamorous night view of Hong Kong.

    Day 8 –Fly to Shanghai

    Shanghai (B,L,D). Early morning, fly to Shanghai. Explore the past, present and future of Shanghai by walking along the Bund. Attend a silk weaving workshop to learn about production of silk. Visit the classic garden, Yuyuan Garden and the busy Old Town Bazzar. Enjoy a western lunch. Tonight, enjoy a special farewell dinner to recapture the unforgettable memories.

    Day 9 – Shanghai

    Shanghai(B). Full day free at leisure or join an optional full day excursion to Suzhou, ‘Venice of the East’; it is also known as the Garden City of China.

    Day 10 – Fly to home

    Shanghai to home (B). Fly to home.
